doxology

Jeff and I went to Horsetooth Resevoir on Saturday. It was a beautiful day and many people showed up to climb.

Many people...
The bushes were filled with all sorts of articles of clothing. Mostly puffy jackets and under-layers of warmth.

Then Chris Craft showed up!
Chris Craft!

Then Chris Way climbed a boulder...I forgot the name

And Jeff came increasingly close to sending Doxology

Then Tom took a rest break between round 1 and round 2 to take a large swig from his gallon of orange juice. The 2 liter bottle of ginger ale didn't make it into the photos.

Here is Nik becoming increasingly perplexed by doxology, especially when Jeff said he did the move by standing on his tippy toes. huh?

The lake was doing strange melting things

Then Jeff stretched!

And Tom got psyched by listening to Disney's Love Songs on his ipod (that's what Erica told me)

Then Jeff climbed Doxology!!!

Good Job Jeff

After Doxology we went over to moon arete and I begrudgingly warmed up. I didn't think I had a chance in hell at doing many of the moves on moon arete; however, I was pleasantly surprised. I did all the moves! I almost did the whole darn boulder! I hope I can make it back there before we head out for Bishop on FRIDAY!!!

hi !

I have had a cold the past few days which is fine because winter took a crap on all of my boulder problems. I am "studying" and wandering around the house and getting my ass kicked at chess and scramble with friends. I hate losing to Jeff. I can't stand it. I started 4 games of scramble with him so that I could increase my odds, but he just keeps getting better. Today, I threatened Jeff and told him if he leaves me alone for too long today I will make stuff out of hearts. He went climbing for two hours...soooo I made a chain of paper hearts out of valentine's day ads. It would probably look less ghetto if I hadn't used newspaper, but I had fun cutting up the awful ads. The dog is also afraid of them which is a bonus. Overall it was a giant waste of staples.

In other news, we are going to BISHOP very soon! Only for a week, but it will still be wonderful.

sparrow swung down and he took shape and form

I wish these photos were showing you what is currently happening in my life, but sadly no, these are just wonderful memories of the holidays in Turks and Caicos. It was a fantastic time in the sun full of snorkeling.

This is my currently reality. The cutest squirrels around. This is an Abert's squirrel. Jeff and I took it upon ourselves to move up to the "mountains" of boulder canyon for 6 months while I study for the NCLEX, (I officially graduated from nursing school) and try and find a big girl job.

This is where I sometimes sit and drink tea.                                 This is the crazy animal that lives with us.

This section is called - What you can attract with bird seed!

This one likes the bird seed too.
Free time means baking eggs with pancetta, onion, and cheese

The full moon a risin' through the low clouds
                 unique sleeping habits                                                                     juicing

                                                                    and finally....rock climbing!
This is my project. Resonated V9 in Eldorado Canyon. I can't wait to finish it.
