The quality of this little video is horrible, but I am really excited that I figured out how to do this. This is Pi flashing a boulder problem called Mood Swings in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

oooo can't wait

As soon as I am released from school, my friend Krissy and I are taking my little corolla and driving straight to Yosemite. ohhh we can't wait. After my freshman year in college I drove out to Yosemite National Park to get a summer job. Being from Wisconsin, I didn't even know that climbing was a sport. After struggling up Grant's Crack, 5.10, and projecting a V0 for two months I was hooked.
The next summer I talked one of my favorite girl friends, Krissy, into coming with me. We endured the debauchery of Boystown and learned how to place our own gear and set up anchors on our very first 5.7 trad climbs. It has been 3 years, and we have just set plans to head back to the valley. Now however; I am thoroughly obsessed with bouldering. I am going try my luck at Midnight Lightning and every boulder problem that I can throw myself on in two weeks.

storytime
There have been requests for Scott Hahn stories because the world does not have enough Scott Hahn stories in it. We will save the story of the legend as well as the story about the midget for another time and place. Today will be the story of the Shoes in Trees Like Whoa. Now I don't have photo evidence of this occurrence so you will have to use your imagination.
Scott Hahn is a large man...mostly gentle, but then there are those rare moments of rage when Scott falls off of a boulder problem and his scream makes the birds fly out of trees and the mountain lions to run away in fright. Well in this particular moment of rage, Scott slipped off of a boulder due to his "vadge hands" (i won't reveal too much here, but this term is meant to describe hands that are sweaty, hot, and wet, and won't hold on to crimpers....which also goes along with his super hero named Cuntor which I won't go into detail about at all, because my Grandma wouldn't like it, but you can check out his 8a scorecard for his FA of a boulder problem named this name...and the superhero with this name has gloves to cover up his vadge hands in the nighttime with lights on the fingers) and the nearest thing that Cuntor...I mean Scott could find when he slipped off of this boulder were his shoes. Now, Scott threw his shoes and he threw them as far and hard as he could. Josh you won't like this next part. He then picked up his chalk pot and threw it with all of his chalk making a chalk cloud bomb in the air leaving all of us coughing and he beat his chalk pot against a rock...over... and over... and over.
Jason Pinto being the wonderful man that he is spent over a half hour trying to retrieve Scott's shoes (because Scott didn't have any shoes to look for his shoes with) and to no avail he could not find the shoes anywhere. An hour passed and we put our heads together and said...maybe they are up in the trees? Sure enough we looked up and around and within minutes Cuntor...I mean Scott had his shoes back!!! Yeah!!! Question for Scott....Can you have vadge feet?? Is that possible?
Without Scott Hahn around our fire at night in Joe's Valley...the trip would not have been the same....nor as dirty. Thank you Scott for letting me tell stories about you :)

Joe's Valley
Brian and I spent the last week in Joe's Valley enjoying the sandstone, sun, and Scott Hahnism's. Brian made quick work of Resident Evil, Freak, Prophet in a Ditch, and the Hulk Sit...all V10. I did my first v10, Fingerhut and I am pretty excited about it. We all spent a lot of time climbing the Angler, v2, multiple times and each time it scared the crap out of me....funny because Brian did it like ten times.
The campfires proved to be interesting with classic Scott Hahn stories and good company. Pinto has been in Joe's for so long he is now the "legend" but so is Scott for other reasons. We took off two days early because of the heat and went to the Poudre to climb on some sweet granite/gneiss. Today Camp sent Divergence sit, v10, and I am working out the moves to Jousting at Windmills 9/10. Oh man climbing is soooo good.

Arthur's Rock
Lelani going out to the football hold on Childbirth, V8
Saturday was another day spent at Clear Creek with Brian trying Dark Waters and me trying the Swamp Traverse. Perhaps if our hands and feet were not numb one of us could have sent something. Sunday's weather was MUCH better with sun and higher temps we made the hike up to Arthur's Rock even though the road was closed. Brian sent Double Stack while I worked on Ode to Failure. Ben Scott made Brian a promise that if he sent Childbirth he could not call him a pussy for an entire year. Brian got over his pussiness and sent Childbirth!!! and now he can talk shit to anyone he pleases. Camp climbs high stuff? I guess so.
